Job Title: Chamber of Commerce Manager
Location: Stamford, Texas
Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week, additional hours for special events
Compensation: Pay TBD, based on experience
Position Overview:
The Stamford Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and community-minded individual to serve as our Chamber Manager. This part-time position plays a vital role in supporting and promoting our local business community, coordinating community events, and serving as a positive face of the Chamber to members and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for Chamber members and prospective members
Promote and support local businesses through marketing, social media, and member engagement
Coordinate and execute community events such as the Fall Festival and Best of Stamford annual fundraiser and award ceremony.
Collaborate with local organizations, city leaders, and volunteers to strengthen community partnerships
Manage communication channels including email, newsletters, and social media
Provide administrative support and maintain organized records of memberships and Chamber activities
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Event planning or community engagement experience is a plus
Familiarity with Stamford and a passion for supporting small businesses
Basic computer and social media skills
Graphic design experience or familiarity with Canva or similar program
